Mime Workshop Create Your World Out of Thin Air As a trained performer, I often incorporate mime techniques into my RPGs to conjure weapons, magic items, and other physical aspects of the world. These mime techniques can be used for traditional games or LARP campaigns and add a dynamic element to both the GM's and player's experience. 5-10 This activity actively welcomes children, This event can handle ten or more people
Role-playing game Back and Spent Again, or: How Adventurers Pay The Rent Fantasy adventurers in an economic game! Struggle against poverty in a living game. Fight against the forces that keep you down! This is a pbta hack focusing on assets, relationships, and community involvement.

You'll have all the capabilities of fantasy adventurers -- violence, bribery, theft, magic. But does any of that help you deal with hunger, loneliness, and barbarism? As a warning, this game deals with issues of poverty and privilege. While there is an eventual upbeat message, the player characters start off in the depths of poverty -- and, start of session, need to pay the rent. For 3-5 players, designed for player to come in and out. I'll probably try to run the game three times, and we'll play to find out what happens.

Role-playing game Welcome to Noirlandia Somewhere, there is a city. In that city, there's been a murder. We're the only ones who can solve mystery -- and solve it we shall, or die trying. This game is for 2-4 players, will include some world-building and may involve mature themes. 4 or less

Outdoor activity Ultimate Frisbee It's a low-stress friendly competition that gets you moving. 5-10 This event can handle ten or more people
Live Action game Ghost court (kid friendly) Live game of ghosts and their legal disputes, I was really impressed with how the sea Dracula went with the kids last year so I think this should be fun. 5-10 This activity actively welcomes children
Role-playing game Epyllion Baby dragons! Powered by the apocalypse and no previous experience required. Also: baby dragons! 4 or less This activity actively welcomes children
Cool craft activity for kids! The kids activity We are going to do make a cool banner that tells a story and the kids are going to make characters to be in the story, and we are gonna glue it all together and put it in the main cabin! 5-10 This activity actively welcomes children
(a larp for adults) Larp The LARP I am bringing is for 7 adults; I played it at Metatopia and thought it would be a great fit for a late session at Nerdly, it's a seance game where the characters alternate between playing seance participants and ghosts as each participant tries to find the ghost they seek. 5-10 This activity actively welcomes children
Live Action game Snipe Hunt This is a larp I specifically wrote for a wilderness area. It is a play on a cruel camping prank bringing drama and horror into the trope 5-10
Board/Card game Captain Sonar It's a game for 8 people where each team of 4 is on a submarine trying to sink the opposing team in real time while adhering to roles of captain, first mate, engineer, and radio operator. The real time nature of the game makes for a semi-chaotic environment, but everything stops as the captain of one team fires! 5-10
Role-playing game Xenovore (Eclipse Phase - FATE Edition) Xenovore is a campy sci-fi horror adventure where players have joined an exoplanet archaeology expedition that is doubling as a reality TV show to help fund the dig. Naturally, things go horribly wrong, and it will be all the ramshackle expedition team can do just to get back home, all while trying to put on a good show for the cameras so that they can at least get something out of the experience. 4 or less
Board/Card game The Wizard's Tower It's a board game I'm creating. Elemental wizards race around a castle gathering power while trying to slow the others down with magic. They can create fire in rooms, blook doors with earth, create wind tunnels with air, and cancel other magic with water. I'm excited about it because it's fun and unique. It has a lot of color (metaphorical color, it's a hand-drawn castle on a battle mat). The game can end quickly, and is expected to get out of control as players get too powerful. 4 or less
Live Action game A Pirate's Life "Yoho! Join a family of 4-8 daring pirates for a heart-warming adventure on the high seas. All be welcome, no matter yer countenance, means or ability. The queerer, the better, as our beloved former captain used to say.

This LARP celebrates the close bonds of an elective family through the lens of a pirate ship. We'll face individual challenges together, challenges to the whole group, and conflict between shipmates. Our freedom from society and our love for each other (platonic, fraternal, and romantic) are paramount. Dress piratey, whatever that means to you."

5-10
game crafting activity Potato-Print Your Own Gameboard Bandana We will be cutting potatoes into simple stamps and "inking" them with fabric paint to create gameboards on white bandanas (supplied). A chessboard is probably the easiest example, with a repeating pattern of squares, but you are limited only by your skill with a paring knife (and the available time!) as to what kind of gameboard you create. Obviously repeating patterns work best. Kids down to about age seven can probably do this, but only adults will be handling knives to create new stamps. If you have other white or light colored fabrics or clothes, feel free to bring them if you wish to decorate something other than a bandana. We will have about 20 bandanas available. I've been very excited to do this for a while now, as I think potato printing is perfectly suited for making a gameboard bandana. 4 or less This event can handle ten or more people
Role-playing game Blades in the Dark Plan a heist in a Dickensian ghostpunk city! 4 or less
Role-playing game Action RPG! Action RPG! Roll dice! Do awesome things! 4 or less
Role-playing game Outrageous Youth This is my game (/hack of Misspent Youth) based on Jem and the Holograms. For all I know, it'll be part of a Kickstarter by then, and so definitely the new hot hotness. I wrote it with my daughter in mind, but we didn't get to run it at last Camp Nerdly, and I haven't ever been able to get a large enough group of kids together to run it for her at home since. It's a fun game about changing the world through music. At least I hope it's fun; I can promise the rest. 5-10 This activity actively welcomes children
Live Action game A Grandiose Disaster: Trapped in a Mall With Some Zombies Play in a Micheal Bay movie where you and a bunch of other people will be... Trapped in a Mall with some zombies! What could be more fun! 5-10 This event can handle ten or more people

Even if yo do not love Battle Star Glalactica (and who does not love BSG), you will love the gameplay - like Mafia one or more of the cooperative group is trying to defeat the group. Are you a Toaster? If we get four or five we can have two Toasters. 4 or less

Role-playing game Masks Teenage superpowered drama (and action, if time permits) 4 or less
Role-playing game Sing your Heart Out "Sing your heart out is a game about people who sing and the drama in their lives. Think Glee, Pitch Perfect, High School Musical or a Chorus Line.

Role-playing game Tales of Dinotopia Dinotopia is an island where dinosaurs and humans co-exist in peace, cut off from the rest of the world by impenetrable reefs. Every few years, some hapless shipwrecked souls find there way to its shores, and are faced with living in a world beyond their dreams. Using the game system Archipelago (https://norwegianstyle.wordpress.com/2012/09/20/archipelago-iii/ ), players will tell the stories of a few of Dinotopia's citizens, be they dinosaur or human, newly arrived or here for generations. This game is pretty different, as its tone encourages tales about finding one's place in the world, growing up, and learning about what actually matters in life, while still discovering ancient ruins and flying on Pterodactyls. I absolutely love this world, and had wanted to run a game set here for years. Archipelago is a beautiful fit, and I am super excited to share this with others. While everyone should check out Dinotopia, no setting knowledge is required. 4 or less
Role-playing game Night Witches It's young women who are air pilots being amazing and fighting the Germans during World War II -- it is a great platform to engage with misogyny and queer content. 4 or less
Outdoor activity Kid's activity Kid-focused (but not exclusive) treasure hunt and hike. (note, I didn't check times below that would be bad for kids, though I will be there at camp). 4 or less This activity actively welcomes children, This event can handle ten or more people
Role-playing game World Wide Wrestling It's super fun to pretend to be a professional wrestler like those on tv, and acting out the matches and the trash talking among a group of friends. Tights and Fights, just like superheroes, but with slightly less glowing hands. 4 or less
Live Action game Games Within Games "In this dramatic spy larp two master spies are called to East Berlin to catch a mole. They were once mentor and protg, now they?re reunited as equals for a dangerous mission. Wrestling with years of unresolved conflict, they have to find a way to trust each other and answer the question... Who is the mole?

In few hours players tell a complete story of paranoia and betrayal using unique larp rules where two players create each character together."

Role-playing game Spirit of the Century: The Stolen Idol The Stolen Idol is a 1920s occult mystery with elements of film noir. Can the centurions retrieve the statue of the Hindu Goddess Kali before it destroys those who have taken it? Along the way, they may tangle with a gangster club owner, a librarian femme fatale, hot-rodding teenagers, a demented archaeologist, a nosy photographer, a Hollywoodland starlet, and a vindictive art collector. This original scenario will feature opportunities for negotiation and stealth as well as combat. Players new to Spirit of the Century and Fate Core are welcome. 4 or less This activity actively welcomes children
Role-playing game The Deep Forest For a long time, our monstrous home was occupied by invading humans. Now, finally, we?ve driven them off, and we?re left with this: a year of relative peace. One quiet year, with which to dismantle their settlements and reclaim our lands. Come Winter, a band of heroes will arrive and we might not survive the encounter. This is when the game will end. But we don?t know about that yet. What we know is that right now, in this moment, we monsters have an opportunity for healing and self-discovery in our deep forest, away from human eyes. 4 or less

Board/Card game Dominion Dominion is a card game where players take turns drawing cards, playing action cards, and purchasing new cards to improve their decks with the ultimate goal being to have the highest number of victory points. The game is fairly easy to learn and quick to play (30-90 min max per game). Best of all, while each game is limited to using 10 different "Kingdom Cards," there are many more than 10 available in the base set and multiple expansions (all of which can be available at camp), so no two games are alike. The strategy that helps you win one game might not work at all for the next! Games take place with 2-4 players, and supplies are available for 2 games to run simultaneously. The game is also officially recommended for players age 13 and older, though depending on level of experience with board/card games, younger gamers (~10 and up) might also enjoy it. 4 or less This activity actively welcomes children

Board/Card game Dead of Winter Semi-cooperative, semi-role playing game in a post zombie apocalypse setting. Each player will lead a separate band of survives, but will work together in order to survive a given scenario. But each player will have their own separate motives that may not always be in the best interest of the whole group, and there may be a traitor who is secretly working against everyone else. 4 or less This event is longer format, and will require two slots (a total of about five or six hours)
Live Action game The Fallen Fane "A freeform, live-action scenario set in the world of the Ars Magica, written by David Chart.

The magi of the community of Fanum stand accused of breaking the Code of Hermes. They've incurred the wrath of the church, and though they're largely unscathed, they've brought ruin to some of their magical neighbors. The magi of Fanum have been summoned before the Rhine Tribunal to face justice. You are that tribunal. I have some vague ideas about bringing some emotional teeth as well as tightening and story-gaming things up a little bit, which will hopefully bear fruit come May, but as published it supports 12 to 24 players."

12-20 This event can handle ten or more people
